Morphological Characteristics
A deciduous tree reaching up to 20 m in height. The bark is dark gray; twigs are gray, with short soft hairs and densely covered with lenticels. The leaves are twice-pinnate, opposite, thick papery, with a cylindrical rachis densely covered with silky, gray, short soft hairs;9–15 leaflets, oblong-ovate, 4.5–7 cm long, 1.8–2.5 cm wide, with a short acuminate apex, rounded base, and irregularly serrated margins; the underside of the midrib bears gray tomentum; leaflet petioles are short, about 2–3 mm long; terminal panicles, about 20 cm long;Flowers are yellow. The capsule is ovate, approximately 4 cm long and 3 cm wide, with a rounded apex, a prominent tip, and three-lobed. Seeds are round and black.
