Drug Formulation
Half a liang of Clematis (prepared with bitter shepherd’s purse), half a liang of Astragalus (prepared with续断), half a liang of Atractylodes (prepared with tangerine peel), and half a liang of Lindera (wood removed, prepared with yellow pine knots).

Processing
Take 4 large wood apples, cut off the tops, remove the seeds, and fill with the aforementioned herbs. Secure the tops with a pin, sprinkle with wine, and steam until cooked. Steam three times and sun-dry three times. Remove the herbs, roast them until dry, and grind into a powder. Grind the wood apples into a paste, mix the powder and paste thoroughly, and pound with a thousand strokes to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.
