Formulas Name : Ji Xiang Decoction

Chinese Name : 集香汤

Drug Formulation

White Cardamom (chopped) 1 liang, Cardamom (chopped) 1 liang 5 qian, White Sandalwood 1 liang (not exposed to fire), Ginseng 1 liang (sliced), Black Pepper (soaked, drained) half a liang, Licorice (chopped) 3 liang.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a powder. Excluding the sandalwood, ginseng, and black pepper, combine the white cardamom, licorice, and 4 liang of white salt in a box and let them sit overnight. The next day, roast them in an iron vessel over low heat until dry; do not use high heat, lest it generate excessive heat. Grind the three ingredients—sandalwood, white cardamom, and licorice—together into a fine powder and store in a porcelain container.

Take with hot water.
