Drug Formulation
2 liang of yellow丹, 5 qian of rock salt, 1.5 qian of sea squid (sifted), 1.5 qian of cinnabar, 1.5 qian of borax, 2 chebulic myrobalan fruits (pitted and ground into powder), 4 liang of winter honey (boiled until it comes to a vigorous boil, then strained to remove sediment and keep the clear liquid), 49 locust branches, and 49 willow branches.

Processing
Bring the honey to a boil, strain it, and place it in a porcelain container set atop the mouth of a decanter; add glycyrrhiza root, orpiment, and chebulic myrobalan, then steam and simmer until the mixture turns purple; using a double boiler, quickly reduce it to a paste; stir the acacia and willow twigs continuously without stopping, alternating between them, until the twigs can be dropped into water without disintegrating; strain again to remove impurities, then mix the resulting paste with the following ingredients: 2 liang of Coptis (ground into a fine powder and sifted),5 qian of locust tree branches, 5 qian of willow branches. Add 2 large bowls of water to the mixture and boil down to 1 bowl; strain out the residue, then boil the clear liquid again until it reaches the desired consistency; mix in the honey and medicinal powder until uniform, place the mixture in a porcelain container set atop the mouth of a double-boiler, and cook over a double boiler until it forms a paste; leave it on the ground for several days to remove the heat toxicity, then add the previously prepared medicinal powder and stir until uniform.
