Drug Formulation

1 liang of powdered Changshan, 1 liang of powdered Cardamom, 1 liang of powdered Acorus, 1 liang of mung bean powder, and 2.5 qian of Xinshi (boiled in vinegar).

Mix the above ingredients with a thin wheat flour paste and shape into 120 tablets.

Instructions for Use

Soak one cake in clear tea water and leave it exposed to the dew overnight; take it cold at the fifth watch on the day the attack is expected to begin. If phlegm and fluid retention are in the upper part of the body, vomiting will occur; if in the lower part, diarrhea will result. For children, use one jiao and administer according to the same method.

Note

Avoid pork, mutton, fish, chicken, and wheat flour.
