Processing

Crush the above herbs as appropriate, deep-fry them in 160 liang of sesame oil until charred, remove the residue and filter the oil, then refine it until a drop of oil forms a bead. Add 80 liang of orpiment to form a paste. Remove from heat, place in cold water to neutralize the toxic heat, then reheat until melted and spread into plasters. Each plaster weighs 1 liang and 1 qian of oil.
