6 TCM Recipes for Spermatorrhea and Leucorrhea

1.Dragon Bone Congee

[Source] Taiping Shenghui Formula

[Functions] Calms the Heart and tranquilizes the mind, astringes to helps maintain leakage of semen.

[Indications] Palpitations, night sweats, spermatorrhea in men, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis in women, and other signs of imbalance.

[Formula] 30 grams of Calcined Os Draconis, 100 grams of glutinous rice, an appropriate amount of brown sugar.

[Preparation Method] Take calcined dragon bone (Os Draconis), crush it, put it into a casserole, add 200 ml of water, decoct for 1 hour, clarify, remove the dregs and take the juice. Add glutinous rice, then add another 600 ml of water, and cook into a thin porridge.

[Usage] Take it warm on an empty stomach in the morning and evening. Five days constitute one course of supports.

2.Ginkgo Nut Congee

[Functions] Tonify the Kidney and stabilize the Lung.

[Indications] signs of imbalance such as spermatorrhea, enuresis, leukorrhea with turbid discharge due to Kidney deficiency, vaginal discharge due to women’s physical weakness, and various types of cough and asthma due to Lung deficiency.

[Formula] 10 grams of Ginkgo Semen (Ginkgo biloba), 100 grams of Coicis Semen (Coix lacryma-jobi var. ma-yuen).

[Preparation Method] First, remove the shells, kernels, and stamens of the ginkgo nuts, crush them, add them to non-glutinous rice, add 1000 milliliters of water, and cook into a porridge of moderate consistency.

[Administration] Take warm before meals in the morning and evening.

3.Steamed Egg with Ginkgo Nuts

[Functions] Astringes Lung qi and stops leukorrhagia.

[Indications] Suitable as a dietary supplement for patients with male spermatorrhea and leucorrhoea, and excessive vaginal discharge in women.

[Formula] 1 egg, 2 Ginkgo biloba seeds.

[Preparation Method] Take one fresh egg and make a hole at one end. Remove the shells from two ginkgo nuts and place them inside the egg. Seal the hole with paper, place the egg with the sealed end facing up on a dish, and steam it over water until cooked. It is then ready to eat.

[Usage] Take once daily.

4.Gorgon Fruit and Cherokee Rose Fruit Porridge

[Functions] Tonify the Kidney and stabilize essence, strengthen the Spleen and arrest diarrhea.

[Indications] signs of imbalance such as spermatorrhea, enuresis, excessive leucorrhea caused by Kidney deficiency, and diarrhea due to Spleen deficiency.

[Formula] 100 grams of japonica rice, 20 grams of euryale seed (Semen Euryales), 15 grams of cherokee rose fruit (Fructus Rosae Laevigatae), 20 grams of white sugar.

[Preparation Method] Clean Euryale Seed (Qianshi) and Cherokee Rose Fruit (Jinyingzi, with the inner core removed) of any dirt or debris, place them in a casserole, add water, and decoct into a medicinal juice, then clarify and remove the sediment. Rinse the japonica rice thoroughly, put it into the pot together with the medicinal juice, cook over low heat to make porridge, and add white sugar.

[Usage] Consume warm with breakfast in the morning.

5.Jichang Powder

[Source] “Tonic Products, Tonic Drugs, and Beneficial Tonic Prescriptions”

[Functions] It has a strong effect in tonifying the Kidney and consolidating semen, as well as warming the Kidney and warming the meridians.

[Indications] Premature ejaculation and spermatorrhea caused by deficiency of Kidney yang qi, leukorrhea in women, and frequent and copious urination.

[Formula] One whole rooster intestine.

[Preparation Method] Wash the chicken intestines with vinegar or salt, bake them dry, and grind them into a fine powder.

[Usage] Take one dose daily, administered with water decocted from mantis egg case. Alternatively, it can be taken with warm wine.

[Preparation Method] Wash the eggs, add 2 bowls of clear water and cottonseed, and boil together. After the eggs are cooked, remove the shells and continue to boil for a while. Add white sugar when serving.

[Usage] Eat the egg and drink the soup.
