1.Dazao Yimu Decoction

[Indications] Menstrual wellness, pain, lumbar acidity, dark red menstrual blood with clots, and other signs of imbalance caused by exposure to cold during menstruation or anemia, etc.

[Formula] 20 pieces of Jujubae Fructus (Ziziphi jujubae), 10 grams of Leonuri Herba (motherwort), 10 grams of brown sugar.

[Preparation Method] Add water and stew together to make a soup.

[Formula] One young yellow dog, 30 grams of qu (a type of fermenting agent), 7500 grams of glutinous rice.

[Preparation Method] Remove the internal organs of a young yellow dog, wash it clean, boil until well-cooked, then use the meat along with its juice, together with distiller’s yeast and glutinous rice, to brew wine following the usual method.

[Usage] Take 10 – 20 milliliters on an empty stomach, three times a day.

4.Cinnamon Porridge

[Functions] Warm the middle-jiao and replenish yang, dispel cold and helps with occasional pain.

[Indications] Dysmenorrhea due to deficiency-cold, infertility due to cold uterus, and other related signs of imbalance.

[Formula] Cinnamomi Cortex 10 grams, Oryza sativa L. (polished round-grained rice) 100 grams, appropriate amount of sugar.

[Preparation Method] Grind cinnamon into a fine powder. First, cook glutinous rice and sugar with water to make a thin porridge. Then, take 1-2 grams of the cinnamon powder and mix it into the porridge. Reduce the heat to low. Boil it again and stop heating when the porridge becomes thick.

[Usage] Take it warm on an empty stomach during breakfast and dinner.

5.Danggui Mutton Soup

[Functions] Nourishes blood and warms to unblock the meridians.

[Indications] Abdominal pain due to postpartum blood deficiency with cold, dysmenorrhea due to blood deficiency with cold in the channels, and a cold uterus resulting in prolonged infertility.

[Formula] Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Dang Gui) 15-18 g, Mutton 150-250 g, Prepared Dry Ginger (Pao Jiang) 12-15 g.

[Preparation Method] Boil the mutton first. After the meat is cooked, take the soup and use it to decoct Angelicae Sinensis Radix and prepared Zingiberis Rhizoma for 1 hour. Then drink the soup and eat the meat.

[Usage] Take 10 to 20 milliliters each morning and evening.

6.Ginger and Sugar Paste

Mix in brown sugar and steam in a pot for 1 hour. Take it out and expose it to sufficient sunlight for 3 days. Then steam and sun it again. Repeat this process of steaming nine times and sunning nine times in total, that is, steaming and sunning 3 times during each dog-day period.

[Usage] The medication should be taken starting from the first day of menstruation. Take 1 tablespoon each time, 3 times a day, continuously for 1 month without interruption. Sexual intercourse is prohibited during the medication period.
