Formulas Name : Baiwei Ointment
Chinese Name : 白薇膏
Drug Formulation
Half a liang of Baiwei, half a liang of Bailie, half a liang of Baiji, half a liang of Baifuzi, half a liang of Bai Zhi, half a liang of Red Peony Root, 2 liang of lead white (finely ground), 1 fen of frankincense (finely ground), 3 liang of beeswax, and 12 liang of oil.

Processing
Of the above ingredients, coarsely chop the six herbs including Baiwei. Soak them in oil for 7 days. Place the mixture in a porcelain jar, seal the mouth of the jar with three layers of paper, tie it securely with a string, and steam it over rice five times. Then, simmer the mixture in a cauldron until it boils 5–6 times, strain through cotton to remove the dregs, add the lead white, frankincense, and beeswax, and simmer for another 1–2 boils.
