Drug Formulation

Bitter melon (also known as “mad grape”)—quantity as needed.

Formula by Chen Bodi, cited in Volume 19 of *The Comprehensive Treatise on the Treatment of Ulcers*.

Processing

Pound into a paste, soak in brine to preserve, ensuring the mixture is not too thin; the longer it is preserved, the better.

Snake-head Venom.

Instructions for Use

For any snake-head poison, apply 1 spoonful to the affected area, wrap it with silk for one night; once the pain subsides, the condition is cured.
