Drug Formulation

2 liang of coix seed, 2 liang of Achyranthes root, 1 liang of sea-tung bark, 1 liang of acanthopanax bark, 1 liang of angelica root, 1 liang of saposhnikovia root, 1 liang of eucommia bark (roasted with ginger juice), half a liang of white atractylodes, 1 liang of fried trichosanthes peel, and 2.5 liang of raw rehmannia root.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a coarse powder, place them in a raw silk bag, and soak in 5 sheng of ash-free wine. Soak for 14 days in spring, autumn, and winter; during the intense heat of summer, divide the mixture into several portions and soak each portion in the wine.

Instructions for Use

Take one or half a zhan daily, warm and on an empty stomach, 3–4 times a day, maintaining a constant, mild intoxication from the wine. With long-term use, one will often feel as if hundreds of worms are crawling beneath the skin—this is the manifestation of wind-dampness.
