Drug Formulation

Raw Rehmannia, Licorice (raw), and Akebia—each in equal parts (one version omits licorice and uses Scutellaria instead), and Coptis.

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder.

Benefits

Heat in the Heart Meridian or heat transmitted from the Heart to the Small Intestine. Thirst, flushed face, restlessness and heat in the chest, craving for cold drinks, sores on the mouth and tongue; dark, scanty, and painful urination.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose; boil with 1 zhan of water and bamboo leaves until reduced to 5 fen; take warm after meals.
