Processing

Use 1 jin of oil; simmer until charred, then strain out the residue. Boil down until a drop of the liquid forms a bead when held up to the light. Remove from heat and let stand briefly, then add 2 liang of mercury oxide and 6 liang of water-soluble starch; stir until it forms a paste.
