Formulas Name : Divine Revitalizing Ointment

Chinese Name : 神灵枯药膏

Drug Formulation

1 qian of white camphor (as commonly known), 4 liang of white alum (both ingredients calcined), 1 qian of cinnabar (of the clearest quality), and half a qian of camphor (these three ingredients added later).

Source

From *Collected Medical Formulas* (Vol. 183), citing *The Classic of Alchemy and Carpentry*.

Processing

Prepare a copper or iron vessel. First, crush the white camphor into a fine powder and place it at the bottom. Then cover it with white alum. Calcine over moderate heat until dry. This process is necessary to remove the toxicity; the toxins are expelled through the smoke. Afterward, place the vessel on the ground to dissipate the residual heat toxicity. Add the remaining three ingredients, grind them into a fine powder, and mix with honey or one’s own saliva.

Benefits

Hemorrhoids with fistula.

Instructions for Use

Apply the medicine to the hemorrhoids using a comb three times a day. Once the yellow discharge has completely subsided, the area will naturally turn black and charred; the condition should resolve within 10 days to half a month.
