Formulas Name : Great Black Divine Ointment

Chinese Name : 大黑神膏

Drug Formulation

Half a liang of Sichuan Aconite, half a liang of Ligusticum, half a liang of Sichuan Cimicifuga, half a liang of Stephania (peeled), half a liang of Phellodendron,half liang of Lepidium, half liang of Coptis, half liang of fine-ground white alum, half liang of realgar, half liang of orpiment (both finely ground), half liang of ground lead white, 14 seeds of croton, 14 apricot kernels, pine resin the size of a chicken’s egg, and tangled hair the size of a chicken’s egg.

Processing

Coarsely chop the ingredients into pieces the size of soybeans. Simmer them together with 2 sheng of lard until the tangled hair has completely dissolved. Filter through cotton to remove the residue. Then add realgar, orpiment, lead white, and white alum; stir until well blended, and store in a porcelain container.

For black leprosy and various forms of leprosy, as well as sores covering the entire body accompanied by excessive pus and blood.

Instructions for Use

Before each application, wash the affected area with hot salt water, then apply the medicine to the sores three times a day.
