Drug Formulation
Phellodendron bark (stir-fried with honey until brown) 3 liang, Anemarrhena rhizome (stir-fried with breast milk) 3 liang, Turtle shell (roasted with ghee) 3 liang, Huai-style prepared Rehmannia root 5 liang, Achyranthes root (washed with wine) 1.5 liang, Ophiopogon tuber (core removed) 1.5 liang,Cistanche (washed with wine) 1.5 liang, Tiger Tibia (roasted with ghee) 1.5 liang, Chinese Yam (roasted) 1.5 liang, Poria Sclerotium 1.5 liang, Astragalus (honey-roasted) 1.5 liang, Eucommia (processed) 2 liang, Sweet Goji Berries 2 liang, Polygonum Multiflorum (processed) 2 liang, Ginseng 2 liang, Angelica Sinensis (washed with wine) 1 liang,Asparagus Root 1 liang, Schisandra Berry 1 liang, Huai Rehmannia Root (washed with wine, simmered until soft in a clay pot, then pounded) 1 liang,White Peony Root (wine-fried) 2 liang (use only 1 liang during the winter months), Placenta 1 unit (use the first placenta; wash thoroughly with rice washing water, place in a small earthenware pot, add 1 bowl of water and bring to a boil; allow to cool, then remove and place in a bamboo basket; seal the sides tightly with paper; dry thoroughly and grind into a fine powder; mix evenly with the other herbs).
