Chinese Name : 观音救急丹

Drug Formulation

6 liang of genuine cinnabar, 6 liang of refined male ginseng, 2 qian of black pepper, 2 qian 5 fen of large camphor, 200 sheets of genuine Buddha’s gold, 2 qian 5 fen of Dangmenzi, 1 liang of alum, 2 liang of moonstone, and 4 liang of tooth-softening powder (added later).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Fill porcelain jars with 1 fen of the mixture each and seal the openings with beeswax.

Instructions for Use

When encountering conditions such as acute febrile shock, first apply a small amount to the inner corners of both eyes, then place half a fen into the navel and cover it with a medicated plaster; for severe cases, place the remaining pill on the tongue and swallow it with Yin-Yang Water; for children, reduce the dose by half.

Note

Contraindicated for pregnant women.
