Instructions for Use

Cook all ingredients together into congee; if the patient has a sweet tooth, a small amount of white sugar may be added.

Note

Do not consume excessive amounts of longan porridge at one time. Depending on individual appetite, take 1–2 rice bowls each morning and evening; it must be consumed hot. Excessive intake may cause abdominal distension and stagnation of qi. Avoid this remedy if you have a wind-cold common cold, chills and fever, or a thick, greasy tongue coating.
