Drug Formulation

1 liang of liquidambar, 7 croton seeds (with skin and core removed, lightly roasted), 3.5 liang of pine resin, half a liang of beeswax, half a liang of borluke ointment, and half a liang of walnut kernels.

Processing

First, pound the Liquidambar and Croton seeds; then add the pine resin and pound again; next, melt the beeswax and add it, pounding until thick and well blended; finally, add the Borluke ointment and walnut kernels, and pound thoroughly until it becomes a paste. Form into pills the size of a jujube seed.

Instructions for Use

Wrap in cotton and insert into the ear 2–3 times a day. Once all the liquid has drained out, the condition is cured.
