Drug Formulation

Scrophularia root 1 liang 4 qian, Forsythia fruit 2 liang,Gardenia 3 liang 4 qian, Ophiopogon 3 liang 4 qian, Guang Curcuma 2 liang, Licorice 3 liang 4 qian, Pollen 3 liang 4 qian, Rehmannia 2 liang, Rhubarb 2 liang 4 qian, Rhinoceros Horn 3 liang 4 qian, Musk 3 fen 4 li, Borneol 7 qian, Ox Bile 3 fen 4 li, Refined Realgar 3 liang 7 qian, Cinnabar 2 liang 7 qian.

Processing

First, grind the refined realgar into a fine powder; grind the rhinoceros horn into a fine powder; grind the cinnabar into an extremely fine powder; and grind the musk, ox bile, and borneol separately into fine powders. Then, grind the 12 ingredients, including Scrophularia, into a fine powder, and mix with refined honey to form pills.

Benefits

For heat invading the pericardium, manifested as fever, mental confusion, headache, dizziness, dry mouth and tongue, delirium, and mania, as well as febrile convulsions in children.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose, 2 to 3 times daily, with warm water. Reduce the dose appropriately for children.

Note

Contraindicated for pregnant women.
