Drug Formulation
5 qian of musk, 3 qian of cloves, 4 qian of rock salt, 3 qian of frankincense, 3 qian of wood fragrant, 3 qian of realgar, 5 qian of wulingzhi, 5 qian of fennel, 5 qian of myrrh, 5 qian of tiger bone, 5 qian of snake bone, 5 qian of dragon bone, 5 qian of cinnabar, 7 qian of ginseng, 7 qian of large aconite root, 7 qian of black pepper, 5 qian of white aconite root, and 5 qian of night-glow sand.

Effective for chronic cough and wheezing, hemoptysis, cold-induced debility, nocturnal emissions, leukorrhea, erectile dysfunction, cold and weakness in the lower jiao, prolonged infertility, as well as red and white vaginal discharge in women, and for treating phlegm-fire disorders.
Instructions for Use
For each application, first determine the depth of the navel and insert 1–2 li of musk into it. Next, pack the medicine tightly into the navel. Mix buckwheat flour with water to form a paste, roll it into a band, and wrap it firmly around the navel, adjusting the size to fit the navel opening. Fill the space between the band and the navel with the medicine, ensuring it is packed tightly. Then, use the tip of a silver hairpin to pierce several holes in the medicine layer over the navel.then cover with a piece of locust bark the size of a large coin; perform moxibustion on the bark using Qi-mugwort cones until 120 cones have been burned. If no sweat appears, repeat the moxibustion. After the treatment, rest and recuperate for over a month. Perform this navel steaming treatment four times a year.
Note
For one month after the moxibustion, avoid exposure to wind and cold, greasy foods, and raw or cold foods.
