Drug Formulation

7 sheets of gold foil (ground separately), 2 qian of aloe vera (ground separately), 2 qian of cinnabar (ground separately), half a qian of mercury oxide (ground separately), 7 whole scorpions (detoxified and stir-fried until charred), 1 centipede (roasted until yellow), 3 qian of Coptis chinensis, 3 qian of Aconite (roasted and processed), and 3 qian of Pinellia (roasted).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Next, combine the first four ground ingredients and grind them evenly together. Mix with a paste made from boiled glutinous rice flour to form pills. Make 40 pills from each liang; dry them in the sun—do not bake them over a fire.
