Drug Formulation

10 sticks of soapberry (select those free of wormholes; crush them, soak in 3 sheng of water overnight, squeeze to concentrate the liquid, strain out the residue, and simmer over low heat until it becomes a paste), 1.5 liang of asparagus root (remove the core and roast),1 liang of Trifoliate Orange Peel (stir-fried with wheat bran until slightly yellow, seeds removed), 3 liang of Black Snake (soaked in wine, skin and bones removed, roasted until slightly yellow), 1 liang of White Tribulus (lightly stir-fried, seeds removed), 1 liang of Fangfeng (root tip removed),1 liang of Apricot Kernels (soaked in hot water, with skin, tip, and double kernels removed, then stir-fried with wheat bran until slightly yellow), 1 liang of Sichuan Rhubarb (coarsely chopped, lightly stir-fried), 1 liang of Sophora Root (chopped), and 1 liang of Sichuan Cimicifuga.

Grind the above ingredients into a powder, mix with soapberry paste, and pound into pills the size of a paulownia seed.
