Drug Formulation
2 liang of Sichuan hibiscus bark, 2 liang of Bai Ji, 5 qian of Bai Bu, 7 qian of large maple seeds, 4 qian of areca nut, 3 qian of wild Chinese aconite, 3 qian of clamshell, 2 qian of Pinellia tuber, 2 pieces of cardamom, 1 qian 5 fen of cicada slough, 3 qian of mercury oxide, 2 qian of sulfur, 5 fen of realgar, 5 li of musk, and 5 fen of dried white alum.

Processing
Grind the five ingredients from “Mercury Oxide” onward into an extremely fine powder. For the seven ingredients including Hibiscus bark, combine them with 4 large bowls of vinegar and simmer over low heat until reduced to 1 bowl. Strain out the residue, then continue simmering over low heat until it forms a paste. Add the five powdered ingredients and stir until well blended. Store in a porcelain jar.
