Chinese Name : 鳖甲地黄汤

Drug Formulation

Bupleurum (stem removed) 1 liang, Angelica (root removed, soaked in wine) 1 liang, Ophiopogon (core removed) 1 liang, Turtle Shell (roasted with vinegar) 1 liang, Dendrobium (root removed) 1 liang, Atractylodes 1 liang, Prepared Rehmannia (soaked in wine, baked) 1 liang,Poria (peeled) 1 liang, Gentiana (stem removed) 1 liang, Ginseng half a liang, Cinnamon Bark (unroasted) half a liang, Licorice (roasted) half a liang.

Benefits

Heat-induced exhaustion. Restlessness in the hands and feet; palpitations; in women, stagnant blood in the uterus; emaciation; food fails to build muscle.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients. Take 4 qian per dose; add 1.5 zhan of water, 5 slices of fresh ginger, and a small amount of black plum. Decoct until reduced to 7 fen, strain, and take while warm; no specific time of day is required.

Note

Not suitable for those with severe deficiency and excessive sweating.
