Morphological Characteristics
An evergreen small tree or shrub. Current-year branches are covered with soft hairs; older branches have white lenticels.Leaves are lanceolate or oblong-lanceolate, 10–15 (–20) cm long and 3–5.5 cm wide, with an acute or acuminate apex and a 1–1.5 cm long tail; the base is cuneate or broadly cuneate; the underside is densely covered with short soft hairs and stiff hairs, which are denser along the veins; the margin is sparsely serrate.Male inflorescences are about 12 cm long. Fruit clusters are 2–3 cm long; fruits are nearly elliptic, about 1.5 cm long, and 5–7 mm in diameter.
