Morphological Characteristics
Herb, approximately 50 cm tall. Covered with stellate trichomes.Leaves are alternate; petioles are usually shorter than the leaf blades; stipules are linear, about 3 mm long, and reflexed; leaf blades are cordate-ovate or nearly circular, 1.5–8 cm long and 1–6 cm wide, with a blunt or acute apex and a cordate base; the upper surface is sparsely covered with star-shaped, long, stiff hairs, while the lower surface is densely covered with star-shaped tomentum; the margins bear fine, round teeth of varying sizes.Flowers are solitary in the leaf axils; the pedicel is 4–7 cm long, 2–3 times the length of the petiole; the calyx is campanulate, about 3 mm long, 17–20 mm in diameter, with 5 lobes that are rounded-ovate and short-acuminate at the apex; the petals are yellow, about 18 mm long; the staminal column is glabrous. The mericarps number 14 and are acute at the apex.
