Drug Formulation

3–7 scorpion tails, 1 qian of powdered rhinoceros horn, 1 qian of silver powder, and 1 qian of cinnabar.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into an extremely fine powder; mix with wheat flour paste to form pills the size of mung beans.

Instructions for Use

For adults and children with accumulation due to fright, where sticky, slippery, toxic substances have accumulated in the spleen and stomach; where repeated medication has failed to expel them, leading to a deficiency-type internal accumulation; in adults, this manifests as vomiting after eating, distension and fullness in the chest and abdomen, night sweats, and progressive wasting and debility.Take 7 pills per dose, washed down with a decoction of fresh ginger and jujubes; for women with blood and qi disorders, take 5–7 pills per dose, washed down with rice water; for children with shock-induced accumulation presenting with fever, lethargy, and closed eyes, dissolve a small amount of the powder in a decoction of Coptis, licorice, peach kernels, and mint, then administer. Children aged 1 to 3 years should take 2 pills per dose; younger children should take only 1–2 pills.
