Drug Formulation

1 glutinous rice-stuffed pig’s stomach (thoroughly washed, fat removed), 1 liang of almonds (skinned, tips removed, ground), 1 liang of ginseng (root tip removed), 1 liang of Poria cocos, half a liang of aged tangerine peel (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, roasted), 1 fen of dried ginger (roasted until cracked), 1 fen of Cnidium monnieri,1 fen of Sichuan pepper (remove seeds and any closed pods; lightly roast to remove moisture), 1 fen of dill, 1 fen of black pepper, 1 liang of beef ghee, 21 jujubes (pitted and sliced), and 5 he of glutinous rice (rinsed; adjust quantity based on the size of the stomach).

Instructions for Use

For each dose of 1 liang, combine with equal parts of clarified butter, jujubes, almonds, and glutinous rice. Mix thoroughly until uniform, stuff into a pig’s stomach, sew it closed with hemp thread, and immediately steam in a steamer until cooked. Slice into pieces. Consume gradually on an empty stomach.
