Angelica sinensis 10 liang, Sichuan-processed Aconite 10 liang, Fennel 10 liang, Galangal 10 liang, Sichuan Lovage 10 liang, Frankincense 10 liang.

Processing

Chop the above herbs finely; deep-fry them in 240 liang of sesame oil until charred, then filter to remove the residue. Refine the oil until a drop forms a bead when dropped into water. Add 100 liang of orpiment, stir until well blended into a paste, remove from heat, and place in cold water to neutralize the heat toxicity, then reheat until melted.Prepare a separate mixture of fine powders: 8 liang of green-haired deer antler (dehaired), 10 liang of cinnamon bark (with coarse bark removed), and 8 liang of agarwood (grind the above three ingredients into a fine powder). For every 16 liang of ointment, mix in 2 qian of the herbal powder and stir until uniform.

Instructions for Use

Apply as a poultice over the navel.
