Drug Formulation

Qianhu, Peppermint, Atractylodes, Magnolia Bark, Trifoliate Orange Peel, Cyperus, Scutellaria, Amomum, Wood Fragrance, Areca Nut, Shenqu, Barley Malt, Hawthorn, Dried Tangerine Peel, Licorice, White Peony, Agastache, Perilla, Notopterygium, and Pinellia—each in equal parts.

Processing

Decoct the mint to make a broth, mix it evenly with the other herbs, sun-dry and grind into a powder, then form into pills the size of a marble using honey.

Benefits

Indicated for epidemic diseases, malaria, summer heat syndrome, common cold with cough, dysentery with red or white stools, watery diarrhea, cholera, and pain in the chest and abdomen.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose; reduce the dose for children. For epidemic diseases caused by cold invasion, take with ginger decoction; for malaria, take with ginger decoction; for summer heat syndrome, take with Xiangru Decoction; for common cold and cough, take with a decoction of 3 qian of Stemona tuberosa mixed with ginger juice; for bloody or mucoid dysentery, take with Plantain Seed Decoction;for watery diarrhea, take with ginger tea; for cholera with vomiting and diarrhea, take with a decoction of 49 grains of black pepper and 49 grains of mung beans; for chest and abdominal pain, take with ginger tea.
