Drug Formulation

White areca nut, plantain seed, and hemp seed (lightly roasted)—1 liang each (lightly grind the hemp seeds to remove the husks, then grind separately); prunus mume kernels (soaked in hot water to remove the skin)—2 liang; dodder seed (soaked in wine for two nights, steamed, pounded, sun-dried, peeled, then steamed again with wine)—2 liang; achyranthes root (soaked in wine for two nights)—2 liang;Cornus officinalis (washed with wine to extract the flesh) 2 liang, Chinese yam 2 liang, rhubarb (mixed with wine and steamed until black) 5 liang, Trifoliate orange peel 1 liang, Angelica pubescens 1 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey, and form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 20 pills daily, morning and evening, with rice water, tea, or wine as desired. If diarrhea occurs after taking the medicine, replenish with a soup made from sheep’s tripe and lungs.
