Drug Formulation

Scutellaria baicalensis (with black core removed) 1 liang, Rheum palmatum (chopped, stir-fried) 2 liang, Fructus Aurantii (pulp removed, stir-fried with wheat bran) 1 liang, Areca catechu (chopped, stir-fried with vinegar) 1 liang.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose; decoct in 1 zhan of water until reduced to 7 fen; strain and take while warm, regardless of the time of day. If bowel movements have not occurred after walking 3–5 li, take another dose; continue until bowel movements are restored.
