Chinese Name : 醇醨汤

Drug Formulation

3 liang of fresh ginger, 3–7 black plums (split; one formula calls for 14), 3 liang of licorice (roasted), 2 liang of cinnamon bark, 3 liang of Changshan, and 3 liang of ginger lily root.

Instructions for Use

Boil 6 sheng of water down to 1 sheng; this is called “Chun.” Take it all at once before the onset of symptoms. Then, boil another 3 sheng of water down to 1 sheng; this is called “Lai.” If symptoms persist, take another dose all at once. Another formula states: At dawn on the day symptoms appear, take 1 sheng of “Lai” and apply “Chun” to the side of the head; if symptoms are about to appear, take “Chun” immediately.

Note

Avoid seaweed, Chinese cabbage, raw scallions, and raw lettuce.
