Instructions for Use
First, thoroughly rinse the needle sand until the rinse water runs clear; drain the water, then soak it in good-quality rice vinegar for two nights. Drain the vinegar, dry it over low heat, and grind it into a fine powder. When ready to use, combine equal parts needle sand and fine buckwheat flour, then mix in equal parts rice vinegar and rice washing water to achieve the desired consistency.boil in a small silver bowl over a double boiler until it forms a paste. Before bedtime, apply the medicine to the mustache using a comb, then wrap it in a lotus leaf soaked in hot water. In the morning, gently wash it off with warm water; the mustache will have turned brown.Next, divide the chebulic myrobalan into two portions. Wrap the larger portion in flour and roast it until hot; remove the seeds and grind into a fine powder. Fry the smaller portion in sesame oil until black, then place it over a charcoal fire for 1–2 nights. Remove the ash, wipe it clean (leaving the seeds intact), and grind both portions into fine powders. When using, mix equal parts of the two types of chebulic myrobalan powder, along with an equal amount of buckwheat flour,Next, mix equal parts rice vinegar and rice wash to achieve the desired consistency. Simmer in a small silver bowl over a double boiler until it becomes a paste. Before bedtime, use a comb to apply the medicine to the mustache as described earlier, then wrap it in a lotus leaf soaked in hot water. In the morning, gently wash it off with warm water; the mustache will be as black as lacquer. Applying the medicine with a coarse brush yields particularly excellent results; it is best to use a well-steamed lotus leaf and wrap it tightly while still hot.
