Drug Formulation
2 qian of cinnabar, 5 li of musk, 5 li of borneol, 5 fen of pure realgar, 5 fen of borax, and 2 fen of white sodium carbonate.

Grind the ingredients into an extremely fine powder and store in a small porcelain jar.

In cases of dry cholera, where the patient feels the urge to vomit but cannot, or the urge to have a bowel movement but cannot, and the condition changes in the blink of an eye, it is called “intestinal agitation”; or if the entire body turns purplish-black, it is called “black swelling.”
Instructions for Use
Each time, use clean water and apply 2–3 li with a bone hairpin to the inner corner of the eye, as if applying eye medicine.
Note
After application, avoid hot tea, food, and drink for half a day.
