Benefits

Wind-heat, combined with a full stomach and stagnation, forces qi into the large intestine, leading to hemorrhoids and anal fistulas, as well as dry, hard stools, which inevitably cause severe pain.

Instructions for Use

Boil 3 zhan of water until reduced to 1 zhan and 2 fen; strain out the residue; add the powdered mixture of the three ingredients (including areca nut); return to the heat and boil until reduced to 1 zhan; take while hot on an empty stomach. Wait a short while before consuming a light meal to settle the stomach, so as not to disturb the stomach qi.

Note

On the day of taking the medicine, avoid raw, cold, or hard foods, as well as alcohol, wet noodles, heavily spiced foods, and dried ginger; also avoid fruits such as peaches, plums, apricots, and cherries, as well as oils and pepper.
