Instructions for Use
On the 5th day of the 5th lunar month, take a new jar and fill it with large mugwort leaves, packing them tightly so there are no gaps. Pour 3 sheng of high-quality brewed wine into the jar, then tie it shut with bamboo leaves and paper. Next, seal it with clay and expose it to the sun daily at noon. On the Double Ninth Festival in the 9th lunar month, open the jar, bake the contents until dry, and grind them into a fine powder. Use brewed wine to make a paste, shape it into pills the size of a paulownia seed.Take 30 to 40 pills at a time on an empty stomach, swallowing them with salted water; women should take them with vinegar water.
