Drug Formulation

2 jin of sesame oil, 4 liang of mutton fat, 4 liang of wild camel fat, 10 liang of pork fat preserved in the 12th lunar month, 2 liang of Angelica sinensis, 2 liang of black snake, 2 liang of raw dried Rehmannia glutinosa, 2 liang of Forsythia suspensa, 2 liang of Dipsacus asper, 2 liang of Angelica dahurica, 1 liang of Cynanchum atratum, 1 liang of Bletilla striata, 1 liang of Scrophularia ningpoensis, 1 liang of crucian carp scales,1 liang of hedgehog skin, 1 liang of dew-soaked bee hive, 1 liang of mulberry wood ear fungus, 1 liang of akebia stem (finely chopped; simmer with the lard and other ingredients for half a day, strain out the residue, then add), 2 liang of apricot kernels (soaked in hot water, skinned and tips removed), 1 liang of cloves,2 liang of peach kernels (soaked in hot water, with skins and tips removed), 1 liang of agarwood, 1 liang of frankincense, 1 liang of cinnamon bark, 8 liang of pine resin, 1 liang of ligusticum root,Qianghuo 1 liang, Aconite Root 1 liang (peel and remove the pith), Beeswax 5 liang (finely chop the above ingredients, add them to the oil from the previous step, and simmer over low heat for another half day; when the mixture turns a scorched yellow color, filter through cotton to remove the residue, then add the remaining ingredients), Orpiment 34 liang, Frankincense 2 liang (powdered), Qilin Blood 2 liang (powdered).

Processing

First, place the Yellow丹 in a pot and stir-fry until it turns purple. Immediately add the oil and stir continuously with a willow wood spatula without stopping. Once the mixture turns purple, add the Frankincense and Qilin Blood powders, stir until evenly mixed, and let cool. For any injuries or fractures, apply the mixture over a low flame, spread it on a piece of silk or cloth, and wrap it securely.
