3 qian of ginseng, 3 qian of wood fragrant, 3 qian of white angelica, 5 qian of oyster shell (calcined), 5 qian of white atractylodes, and 5 qian of whole angelica.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Melt 1 liang 5 qian of beeswax, mix it with the powder, and shape the mixture into 10 cakes.

Instructions for Use

For each cake, use one black mountain sheep liver. Slice it open with a bamboo knife and remove all white tendons and membranes. Dry one cake over a fire, then mold several thin pieces into the liver cavity. Wrap it tightly with hemp fiber, and cook it in a sandpot with the second portion of washed millet and rice washing water until done. Consume the liver along with the broth. The condition will be cured immediately; for severe cases, no more than 2–3 cakes are needed.If the child refuses to take it, dry the cake in the sun, grind it into powder, mix it with wheat flour, and bake it in a clay pot until charred; then eat the cake.
