Drug Formulation

1 liang of dried Xiantian (i.e., a woman’s first menstrual blood), 4 sets of Zi He Che (i.e., the placenta from the first-born son; wash with rice washing water, dry on a new tile, and grind into powder), 4 liang of Ganzhou goji berries,1 jin wild goji berries (washed and sun-dried), 4 liang prepared rehmannia root (mixed with wine and steamed), 4 liang raw rehmannia root (first washed with wine, then soaked in 1 large bowl of thick soybean juice until dry), 4 liang golden oriole flower, 1 liang red cinnabar, 2 liang safflower,White Poria (soaked in Eclipta prostrata juice, sun-dried; then soaked in human breast milk, sun-dried; repeat this process 9 times), genuine frankincense 1 liang, crane bone 1 set (roasted with clarified butter),cinnabar 1 liang (translucent like pomegranate seeds; grind separately until extremely fine), 9 green-haired turtles (place live carp in the bottom of a cauldron with water, cover with a sieve; place the turtles on top and steam until cooked; remove the meat and sun-dry it; roast the shells in clarified butter), Sichuan Achyranthes root 4 liang (soaked in wine, root base removed), tender deer antler 2 liang (roasted in clarified butter),2 liang of Acorus tatarinowii (preferably 1 cun long with nine nodes), 2 liang of genuine autumn stone, and 4 liang of dried breast milk (during the third Fu period, pour breast milk into a large porcelain dish, cover it with a gauze sieve, and sun-dry it; repeat this process of pouring and drying until completely dry).

Processing

All the above ingredients should be thoroughly cleaned and processed, then ground into a fine powder. Mix 1 jin 4 liang of white honey and 1 jin of good wine until well blended, then strain the mixture. Add the herbal powder and mix thoroughly, then form into pills the size of a pea.

Instructions for Use

Take 50–60 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with lightly salted water or warm wine.

Note

Avoid radishes and all blood-related foods.
