Drug Formulation
Eucommia bark 4 liang (roasted with wheat bran until the fibers break), Cuscuta seeds (2 liang, soaked in wine and prepared as usual) 5 qian, Tylophora seeds (with oily skin removed) 10 pieces, licorice root 2 liang (peeled and honey-roasted), Guangxi frankincense 1 liang (not exposed to fire), fennel seeds 5 qian,10 large clove buds, 1 Aconite root (wrap in a pinch of buckwheat flour, bake until done, then remove the flour after a long time), 8 qian Agarwood, 4 liang Chebulic myrobalan (shells removed), 14 Lychee seeds (peeled), 3 qian Lockyang (roasted), 8 qian rock salt, and 2 liang 3 qian Prepared Rehmannia root (soaked in wine overnight, peel removed) in 6 an portions.

Processing
Grind the above herbs and tea into fine powders separately. Use licorice paste to bind them together, stirring over low heat daily. Line a steamer basket with a layer of silk; spread the mixture evenly over the silk;place another layer of silk, followed by a layer of tea; place another steaming basket, line it with a layer of silk, spread the herbal mixture evenly as before, and cover it completely. Seal the edges securely with paper, steam over low heat for the duration of one incense stick, remove, and while still hot, shape into pills the size of a water caltrop. Store in a porcelain jar, seal the opening with beeswax, and bury it 1 chi 7 cun underground; later, dig it up.
Instructions for Use
Take one pill per dose, letting it dissolve in the mouth. This formula is particularly effective for those without children. For instance, in cases of blood deficiency causing gray hair, dissolve one pill in the mouth daily. After one hundred days, the gray hair will turn black again.
Note
Strictly avoid all substances that corrupt the blood, such as brain matter, “Sanbai,” and alcohol.
