This manifests as eyes that are neither painful nor itchy, neither red nor swollen, but are sensitive to light and frequently close involuntarily; in severe cases, the eyes remain tightly shut, and the patient is unable to open them;at times, the eyes may suddenly open, appearing normal, only to close again instantly as before; the inner corners of the eyes may show a pale redness or appear hollow and puffy, with the spiritual light sinking inward and the pupils appearing slightly dim. This may be accompanied by palpitations and insomnia, or by diarrhea at dawn, as well as impotence and seminal emission.
