Extract 5 sheng of lye from each of the above ingredients, totaling 1 dou. Place the mixture in a winnowing basket lined with several layers of thin paper and rinse it 7 times. Collect the concentrated, clear lye and boil it in a cauldron until reduced to 1–2 he. Next, place the slaked lime in a fine silk sieve and sift it 3–5 times. When ready to use, mix a small amount of the lye with a small amount of the slaked lime.Use a comb to apply the medicine to the hemorrhoid head; wipe it off after a short while and reapply several times. When it turns black, the hemorrhoid will naturally char and fall off. Examine the area underneath; if it is level with the inside of the pomegranate seed, wash it with salt water immediately and ensure it is not exposed to drafts. Subsequently, apply the Hibiscus Powder to seal the wound.
