Benefits

Abdominal distension and edema.

Instructions for Use

To prepare the decoction, take 5 sheng of hemp seeds and roast them over low heat until they turn yellow and emit a fragrant aroma—be careful not to let them burn—then grind them into a fine powder. Add 5 sheng of water and grind to extract the juice completely; store the liquid in a clean, tightly sealed container. To take it the next morning, wash and soak 1 sheng of adzuki beans tonight; let them dry until dawn, drain off the water, and boil them in fresh water. Before they are fully cooked, drain them and let them dry, then add them to the hemp seed juice and boil until very soft—this is best. Eat as much as you like on an empty stomach, three times a day.

Note

Stale or rancid hemp seeds will worsen the condition; be sure not to use them. For all cases of edema, avoid overeating; one should always remain slightly hungry.
