Drug Formulation
5 he of red adzuki beans (coarsely ground until cracked), 2–7 scallion stalks (with roots, finely chopped), 2 liang of white alum (crushed and ground), 1 liang of licorice (raw, roughly chopped), half a liang of frankincense, 2 he of mustard seeds, and 1 liang of white mulberry root bark (finely chopped).

Instructions for Use
Wrap the above herbs in blue cloth, place them in a pot with 3 sheng of water, and boil until the herbs are thoroughly cooked. While still hot, apply the compress to the swollen area; once it cools, reheat it and reapply. This may be done 5–7 times a day, which will cause the swelling to dissipate internally.
