Processing

First, soak the pig, goose, dog, and bear fats in water, changing the water several times until all traces of blood are removed; only then can they be used;Crush all the herbs and steep them in 1 dou of clear wine overnight. The next morning, cut the pig, goose, and other fats into pieces and add them to the herbs. Place a copper cauldron over a charcoal fire and simmer gently until evening, when it will be ready. Strain through cotton; then tie slices of Angelica dahurica with white silk. When the color turns yellow, the ointment is complete;As for the pig fat, extract the medicinal wine by squeezing out the juice and place it in a cauldron. Add jade powder, Shu water flower, white eagle droppings, and powdered musk; once the ointment is ready, add it to the mixture and stir until uniform. Transfer to a porcelain container.
