Drug Formulation

1 qian 5 fen of stiff silkworm (roasted, ground to a very fine powder), 6 fen of borneol, 3 qian of calcium carbonate, 3 qian of borax.

Processing

Use a brand-new silver pot; first add borax, then calcium carbonate, and refine them together in small batches until the mixture resembles calcined alum in appearance; a crisp, brittle texture is desirable. Place the mixture in a cool place to remove all residual heat, grind into a fine powder, then add the dried silkworm and borneol, grinding until the mixture is extremely fine and produces no sound.
