Drug Formulation

Ephedra 1 liang (roots and nodes removed), Gypsum 2 liang, Sichuan Cimicifuga 1 liang, Licorice 1 liang (lightly roasted until reddish, coarsely chopped), Red Peony Root 1 liang, Bupleurum 1 liang (stems removed), Platycodon 1 liang (root base removed), Apricot Kernels 1 liang (soaked in hot water, skin, tip, and double kernels removed, stir-fried with wheat bran until light yellow).

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose; add half a portion of fresh ginger to 1 large bowl of water, decoct until reduced to half, strain out the residue, and drink hot at any time. Cover with clothing to induce sweating; if sweating has not occurred, take another dose.
