Drug Formulation
Coptis rhizome 4 liang (1 liang soaked in water and sun-dried, 1 liang stir-fried, 1 liang roasted over charcoal, 1 liang used raw), Fangfeng (with root tip removed) 1 liang, Scutellaria root 1 liang.

Processing
Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; mix with a paste made from boiled wheat flour to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

For bloody stools caused by accumulated heat or alcohol toxicity, accompanied by fever, restlessness, abdominal heat and pain, thirst, forgetfulness, a dry tongue, blurred vision, and a string-like, rapid pulse.
Instructions for Use
Take 50 pills per dose; adjust the dosage as appropriate. Soak the pills in rice washing water mixed with Zhi Ke (Citrus aurantium peel) and swallow with water; take at any time. In winter, add 1 liang of Da Huang (Rhubarb); this is not necessary during the other three seasons.
